14 April 1942—Walt sent this letter to the wrong address (used his parent’s street instead of Ruth’s) and it was returned to him, so he included it with the letter dated 21-22 April. I’m posting it here in order.
21-22 April 1942—Walt included the returned 14 April letter in this envelope, but I posted it above in the correct order. He notes the mistake in this letter. This letter is written over two days, and then another letter with a date of the 22nd appears without an envelope.
22 April 1942 (2)—This is a second letter for this date, but it was not in an envelope, so I suspect it might originally have been in the previous envelope, which would have made a total of three letters in that one envelope!
25 April 1942—No, I don’t know why this letter seems to begin between the two dates in the previous letter. This letter was in an envelope postmarked 26 April. I’m also including on the same page an additional envelope postmarked 25 April which contained no letter.
