Walt is dismayed that he still hasn’t shot down a plane, but he is trying to be optimistic about getting into some action.

It’s been a long time since Walt mentioned going to a movie, but he finally gets to see Casanova Brown, a romantic comedy with Gary Cooper.

Good Morning Sweetheart

I Love You—very, very much.

This is kind of a dull morning here—Everybody in our tent has more or less of a big head especially Rube—We mixed up another stew last evening and drank some wine also—too much wine—Ha.—Well—won’t happen much longer as we’re just about out of fluid.

No flying today—we’re still waiting for orders on the next move—The way the army throws this Sqd. around you never know when you are going and never move when scheduled. Meanwhile the end gets nearer and me with no planes to my credit. Begins to look doubtful—but—the end gets nearer and then I’ll be with you.

Remember a long time ago when I told you the Sqd. would get more eager with new blood—Well—it has just about reached that stage—If we could get in some action now it would do us a lot of good—The outfit would really get hot—If we don’t I think I’ll devellope an F.O. attitude

myself—well—you or I feel like being that way—but for some reason or another I’ve got a hunch—So I keep being eager.

Just made some tea—Franklin and I are having our mid-morning tea—Ha—Good tho.

Believe I’ll finish this later

Stick around and I’ll be back with more ink

I Love You

Walt.

Couldn’t make it last evening—Went to see “Casanova Brown”—I liked it too—Funny.

Do you see many shows—I imagine you do.

No letters yesterday—Maybe today—I hope so.

I have some photos of fellows who are in or were in the Sqd.—I’m going to send them home one at a time—You can put them away somewhere. I’ll put their name on the back so you’ll know who they are and so I’ll remember too.

[unnumbered page 3]

As soon as I finish this I think I’ll start on algebra again—It interests me somewhat. And the time fairly flies by when I’m studying.

That is a nice little dictionary you sent me—I should use it more often unh? Ha.

Well [arrow drawn from Well to It’s] Honey—It’s getting deeper and deeper.

It is time to say

Good Morning Sweetheart

All my love to you

I Love You

Walt.
